1A ARTS etc runs a range of services for local children, young people and adults. For the latest news on workshops, courses and events check our blog. 1A ARTS etc also offers services to other voluntary sector organisations and community groups. We have been working with local people in Holborn since 2001 and now also operate a volunteering programme.

Bloomsbury Squares & Gardens

This website is run by the Association of Bloomsbury Squares and Gardens, which is an umbrella group of the Friends and other organisations that support or manage the many historic squares and gardens in Bloomsbury. It aims to encourage visitors and residents to appreciate and enjoy them by providing a central point for information and news about the gardens, and any events and activities that are taking place.

BRAG (Bloomsbury Residents Action Group)

Our remit is to remind decision-makers that 'Residents Matter' The Bloomsbury Residents' Action Group (BRAG) was set up at the end of May 2016 in response to local concern. We are voters and council tax payers, yet the voice of residents is going unheard. We want residents to be properly consulted by Camden Council, the Mayor's Office, TFL or anybody else about proposals and issues under debate or consideration that will affect the lives of thousands of residents.

Friends of St Georges Gardens

St George's Gardens, a central London garden and burial ground now almost 300 years old. Used every week by hundreds of people living or working in the St Pancras area the Gardens contain the tomb of Oliver Cromwell's grand daughter, Anna Gibson. They are also a reminder of the dark history of body-snatching - the first recorded case took place here.

Lingua Diversa

Lingua Diversa Group (LDG) was formed in 2002 by Esther Sahagun and Lucio Daniele, two language teachers who until then had enjoyed an extensive and fulfilling time in teaching Spanish and Italian to both adults and children. They provide language training in Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, English and Portuguese at all levels. Other languages available on request. Unlike other language schools, their groups are very small, min 3 – max 8 students, an ideal number to practise the language as much as possible and interact with the teacher. They run 4 terms a year, each term lasts for 10 weeks. Lessons take place once a week in Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, at lunchtime or in the evenings.
